Our company PROMO HALY participated in the relief efforts following the floods in the Jeseníky region. The idea arose during the floods in mid-September 2024, when the water also threatened our town of Kroměříž. Immediately after the flood wave peaked on the Morava River, we decided to get involved in helping the most affected part of Jesenicko, specifically in the village of Mikulovice. We contacted the local authorities in Jesenicko and arranged specific aid; the most needed items were protective equipment, tools, gas cylinders with cookers, and emergency lights or candles.
We approached some of our suppliers to cooperate in providing the necessary materials, and we purchased the rest from our own resources. The total value of the goods exceeded 100,000 CZK.
Our suppliers who participated in the material assistance:
Our company PROMO HALY mainly purchased a lot of tools, gas cylinders with burners, and hygiene products. Finally, from a collection among employees, candles worth 10,000 CZK were bought directly from the candle manufacturer LIMA Drslavice at production price.
We loaded all the materials into our company van and, in the early morning hours on Saturday, set off for Jeseníky with several of our employees who wanted to lend a helping hand. After passing all the police checkpoints, we reached Mikulovice, where the Red Cross sent us based on mandatory registration, as the village was among the most affected areas of this flood. On the way, we could hardly believe the devastation caused by the water: bridges, roads, houses, and railways were destroyed. The Bělá River carved a new riverbed in places where people once had homes or businesses. However, upon arrival in Mikulovice, the reality exceeded even our worst expectations—the village was completely devastated, many houses were demolished, and everywhere there was mud, trees, and stones where there used to be well-kept properties of the municipality or local residents. After unloading the materials at the municipal emergency warehouse, we went to the area where the local coordinator sent us and found Mrs. Hana, who had renovated her house herself years ago and now almost lost it. We did heavy work, cleaning mud, sorting waste, and left the house only when the work required heavy machinery. People in the area are grateful for any help, and we met many other volunteers not only at the disaster site but also at the school where we spent the night. The next day, we returned to the same street and helped clean the street of debris into a container, finished cleaning the cellar, and cleared the last waste from the properties. Very tired, we left for home in the afternoon, but with a good feeling that our work brought joy to three families. There are many organizations and volunteers operating in the area, helping locals return to normal life.
We thank everyone who participated in this effort.
At the end of May, we became a proud partner of the international youth football tournament “O pohár Jožky Silného”, organized by the U14 team of the football club SK Hanácká Slavia Kroměříž.
Last Friday, we put aside our work pace for a while and swapped the office and construction sites for a slightly different environment – an informal team gathering. We accepted an invitation from a colleague who welcomed us at his cottage, and it turned into a day that had more significance than it might seem at first glance.
We offer job positions at the successful construction company PROMO HALY s.r.o. We are a dynamically developing company specializing in the design, production, and assembly of halls for various uses, from car showrooms, warehouses, and service centers to the assembly of steel structures themselves or cladding of reinforced concrete structures. We offer positions for construction assemblers.
At the invitation of our long-term handling equipment supplier, Moreau Agri from Huštěnovice, our implementation team colleagues and I set out for Nantes, France. The purpose of our trip was to visit the modern production plant of the Manitou brand near the Atlantic, which is among the world leaders in the field of telehandlers. We already use two Manitou MRT 2260 machines from this brand on our construction sites.
This year, our company is celebrating its 4th anniversary. It may not be a long history, but for us, it has been a period full of hard work, challenges, and important decisions. From our first steps to the present, we have come a long way – and it is all thanks to the people who are part of it.
We are pleased to announce that our implementation of the administrative hall for X Shift Gearboxes in Chropyně has been awarded in the Stavba roku Zlínského kraje 2025 competition in the category of Industrial and Agricultural Buildings.
Every successful company knows that it is essential to constantly innovate and adapt to changes in the market. One of the key factors for growth and success is the ability to respond effectively to new challenges and customer needs. One way to achieve this is by setting up a modular workshop for the development of the company.
The construction of prefabricated halls in the Czech Republic experienced an unprecedented boom years ago, with new logistics centers, warehouses, production halls, showrooms, stores, and service centers or car dealerships constantly being built. Now, due to the economic slowdown, there has been a slight decline even in the construction of halls.
