Turnkey concrete halls

As experienced suppliers in the construction of prefabricated halls, we have expanded our offer to include concrete halls, which combine the robustness of concrete with our proven quality, speed, and efficiency. Concrete halls are suitable for larger and more extensive buildings over 1,000 m2. Typical examples of use include storage halls, production halls, administrative buildings, or sports halls.

In the construction of concrete halls, the following are used:

  • load-bearing floor structures – SPIROLY concrete panels
  • load-bearing frame (columns, girders)
  • insulated concrete panels or plinth thresholds
  • staircases

The composition of concrete halls consists of columns, lintels, girders, purlins, and in multi-storey halls, concrete panels.

Properties and advantages of our concrete halls

Our concrete halls are resistant to weather conditions, long-lasting, and energy efficient. We adapt them to the needs and requirements of our clients.

Advantages of concrete halls:

  • Stability, strength, and durability – concrete halls provide high strength and durability. Concrete and steel reinforcements together create a robust structure that withstands all external influences (including storms, snow loads, or earthquakes) + high resistance to heavy loads.
  • Design flexibility – concrete halls allow flexibility in design and adaptation to the customer’s needs. Concrete halls can be easily expanded or modified.
  • High fire resistance – high fire resistance is also a matter of course for concrete halls. Concrete is a non-combustible material and steel reinforcements create a strong and durable system.
  • Minimal maintenance costs – concrete is a durable material resistant to weather conditions = no risk of damage in humid environments.
  • Fast assembly – one of the biggest advantages is fast and relatively easy assembly with minimal technological interruptions.

Uses of Concrete Halls

Concrete halls have many uses in industry, commerce, and other fields. Thanks to their strength and durability, concrete can be a suitable building material for various purposes.

Several examples of the use of concrete halls:

  • Warehouses and distribution centers: Concrete halls are often used as warehouses due to their resistance to weather conditions and their ability to bear heavy loads.
  • Manufacturing plants: Many industrial companies use concrete halls for production, packaging, or processing of products.
  • Agriculture: Concrete halls can serve as storage spaces for machinery, raw materials, or harvests.
  • Sports and recreational facilities: Some sports venues or indoor playgrounds can be built from concrete for durability and long lifespan.
  • Workshops and garages: Concrete halls can be used as workshops, garages for trucks, or as service centers.
  • Administrative buildings: Concrete halls are also suitable for office spaces, although this is not their most common use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the total costs of the hall?

We typically deliver only the upper structure of the hall, i.e., the construction, roof and wall cladding, fillings of openings such as windows, gates, doors, skylights. The hall is completely finished with sheet metal work. We provide a detailed itemized budget for this part of the construction. The total costs of the hall are very hard to determine if the investor does not have complete project documentation. It depends on the terrain complexity, distance of utility networks, internal technological equipment of the hall, etc. A very rough estimate is that total costs are around two to three times the cost of the upper structure we supply.

How does the negotiation with the investor proceed?

After the investor contacts us with a request (by phone, email, via the request form or using the hall configurator on our website), we contact the investor by phone. We try to clarify their idea of the hall as much as possible. Then we prepare a price offer. If the offer interests the investor, usually a personal meeting follows. At the meeting, we review the price offer together and explain technical details. The next step is either design work on the hall or signing the contract for delivery.

Should we build a hall with a concrete or steel structure?

We offer both types of hall structures. The deciding factor for the choice of structure type is the required fire resistance, which is stated in the fire safety solution of the hall – PBŘ. Fire resistance is set based on the building's intended use. We naturally advise the investor on the initial design of the structure. If the hall can be designed with either a steel structure or a concrete one, we consider financial costs and always choose the more advantageous option for the investor.

When choosing a prefabricated hall, you will face many questions that can influence your decision. The key is to have a clear idea of the hall's purpose and to consult your requirements directly with the manufacturer, who will provide not only a price offer but also expert advice regarding structure, building permits, or possible visualizations. Each project is unique, and an individual approach ensures the hall exactly meets your needs.

What is the difficulty level of building a hall with a concrete structure?

The difficulty of building halls with reinforced concrete structures is practically comparable to steel halls. The basis is a well-prepared site (soil stripping, prepared hardened surfaces, etc.). Necessary information is always provided. Our construction managers handle all essential details with the customer beforehand. The construction time is also comparable. Differences usually occur in the type of foundations (pile or slab foundations).

Is it possible to combine concrete and steel structures?

Of course. Concrete structures serve as the primary load-bearing structure, supplemented by steel elements such as lintels for gates, windows, doors. It is also possible to divide the hall concept into a concrete part and a steel part. It depends on fire resistance requirements of the structure. For example, an administrative part can be attached to a storage part, where steel is more advantageous.
