High-speed doors or shutters
High-Speed Doors or Shutters
High-speed doors or shutters are types of doors that open and close faster than standard doors. This increases user safety and comfort and leads to energy savings. They are mainly used in industrial and logistics facilities where fast passage of vehicles or people is required. They can differ, for example, in the material used, construction, control system, and other parameters.
Types of high-speed doors:
- High-speed doors with textile curtain – consist of a flexible fabric that winds onto a roller located above the opening. They are lightweight and resistant to weather conditions. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
- High-speed doors with slat leaves – consist of solid slats that stack vertically next to the opening. They offer high strength and stability. Suitable for outdoor use where resistance to wind or impacts is required.
- High-speed doors with rolling slats – consist of solid slats that wind onto a roller located above the opening. They have medium strength and weight. Suitable for indoor use where space saving is needed.
