Low acquisition costs are among the main reasons why companies choose prefabricated halls. However, the price does not arise by chance. It is influenced by a combination of technical, operational, and legislative factors. Below, we describe those that have the greatest impact on the final price.
The type and dimensions of the hall determine the material consumption and the scope of assembly. As the size of the hall increases, the total price rises, but the price per square meter decreases. Larger halls allow for more efficient production of structures and better utilization of materials, which reduces unit costs.
The choice of materials has a direct impact on the acquisition price. We build prefabricated halls from steel or concrete structures with cladding made of sandwich panels. The degree of unification and fire resistance requirements are decisive. The lowest price is for uninsulated halls. For insulated buildings, the type of insulation core plays a role. Sandwich panels with a PIR core are cheaper than panels with mineral wool or built-up roof Facades.
Assembly costs make up a significant part of the budget. Prefabricated halls are built faster than masonry buildings, which reduces labor costs. The preparedness of the construction site has a major impact. A well-executed substructure speeds up assembly and shortens the implementation time. Given the rising cost of labor, this factor will become even more important in the future.
The location of the hall affects the structural design and the price of the structure. Most of the territory of the Czech Republic falls into a snow zone of 70 to 100 kg/m². In higher and mountainous areas, the requirements for the load-bearing capacity of structures and the roof Facade increase. This raises the price of load-bearing elements, sheets, and sandwich panels. The wind zone and the location of the hall also play a significant role. A building in a built-up area is usually cheaper than a hall in an open space.
Costs are also influenced by legislative requirements. In the Czech Republic, we design prefabricated halls according to national regulations and Eurocodes. Differences compared to foreign legislation may affect the scope of documentation and technical solutions. The speed of construction has a direct impact on labor costs and the investor’s indirect costs. The shorter the implementation time, the lower the total project costs.
The rising cost of labor increases the importance of technology. During assembly, we use cranes, handlers, assembly platforms, and vacuum lifters. These technologies speed up the installation of individual elements and reduce the share of manual labor. The result is a shorter construction time and better cost control.
The acquisition price is only part of the total costs. For heated halls, operation plays a crucial role. We commonly design roofs with a heat transfer coefficient U = 0.15 W/m²K, which corresponds to PIR panels with a thickness of 140 mm or built-up roofs with EPS thickness of 240 mm. For walls, we work with a U value of 0.18 W/m²K, which corresponds to PIR panels with a thickness of 120 mm or panels with a mineral core of 200 mm. Properly designed insulation reduces heating costs throughout the entire lifespan of the hall.
The availability of funds affects both the scope and type of hall. Financing through commercial banks today enables a faster return on investment and better cash flow planning. For many investors, the method of financing is a decisive factor when choosing a specific solution.
The cost-effectiveness of a prefabricated hall is not determined by a single parameter. It arises from a combination of the size of the building, structural solution, location, construction speed, and operating costs. The acquisition price is important, but we always assess it in connection with long-term operation.
If you are planning to build a hall, the most important step is to find a partner you can rely on. With PROMO HALY, you get a complete package of services from design and calculations to final assembly. We guarantee you high durability, compliance with all standards, and many years of use without unnecessary worries.
The design of a modern industrial hall begins with the right configuration. It is a controlled process of information exchange between the investor, the designer, and the PROMO HALY team. The goal is to design a hall that makes sense operationally, technically, and economically.
A sports hall today must offer versatility, fast construction, and reasonable operating costs. That is why a prefabricated hall with a steel structure is increasingly chosen, as it allows for precise responses to the needs of sports clubs, municipalities, and schools.
"Prefabricated halls are among the fastest-growing segments of modern construction. Thanks to their rapid assembly, cost-effectiveness, and wide range of uses, they have gained popularity across industries – from manufacturing and logistics to agriculture and sports facilities."

Sport and physical activity play an important role today not only for health, but also for community life. The growing demand for quality sports facilities brings pressure for the rapid and efficient construction of new spaces. Prefabricated sports halls are the ideal solution – they combine fast implementation, versatility, and long lifespan.
In the latest issue of the magazine Stavební a Investorské noviny 05/2025, an article about the company PROMO HALY was published. An interview with Ing. Petr Dostál, the company's executive director, deals with the evaluation of customer interest in the construction of prefabricated halls in the past year from the perspective of the company PROMO HALY.
In the latest issue of the magazine Konstrukce 05/2023, an article by PROMO HALY s.r.o. was published. The article focuses on the construction of a prefabricated administrative hall in Chropyně. The company presents its reference project – a luxurious administrative hall with dimensions of 13x17m and a height of 7.3m at the parapet.
Steel structures of prefabricated halls have recently gained great popularity due to their durability, resistance, and the fact that they can be variously modified and adapted. However, they are exposed to various weather conditions that can affect their safety and lifespan.
